A new beginning
Mariana transferred her savings into a personal account in order to better protect her financial future.
For the first time in a long time, she felt like she was regaining control of her life.
She packed a small suitcase, took her passport and booked a one-way ticket to Rome, a destination she had dreamed of discovering for years.
Before leaving, she left her wedding ring on the table along with a short message to her best friend, then decided to distance herself from everyone involved in order to regain some peace of mind.
When the plane took off, she felt both worry and immense relief.
In Rome, she took the time to walk through the alleys of Trastevere, to visit the historic squares, to change her hairstyle and, little by little, to find her smile again.
A week later, she posted a simple photo accompanied by a sentence:
“A new life. This time, I choose to move forward.”
Meanwhile, the financial preparations for the reception continued. Some last-minute expenses forced the organizers to revise the planned budget, which caused several discussions within the family.
Javier then realized that many decisions made over the years had gradually weakened his marriage.
While he faced the consequences of his choices, Mariana savored a coffee on a Roman terrace, her phone switched off, convinced that a new chapter had just begun.
